Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy is an holistic, individualized approach to healing that uses yogic practices - such as intentional movement, meditation, breath-work, relaxation and philosophy - to support the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of a person.

Unlike a general yoga class, yoga therapy sessions offer a personalized plan to address specific concerns. Just some of the conditions yoga therapists treat are chronic pain, sciatica, anxiety, PTSD, depression, autoimmune disorders, Parkinson’s, pelvic floor dysfunction, menopause symptoms and cancer recovery.

Yoga therapists have specialized training beyond that of a typical yoga teacher.  We work one-on-one with individuals to meet their specific health goals. Yoga therapy is often used alongside conventional medicine or other types of therapy.

About

Research shows yoga therapy can help with stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, back issues, heart health, and sleep disorders.

Breath regulation, gentle postures, relaxation techniques, and mindfulness practices are adapted to fit each person’s condition and ability.
